Exterior Cement

Cement guys were back recently to put in the exterior walkways and parking pad. Here are the photos!

This is them hard at work on the parking pad.

Finished work, rear of the house. This is the walkway off the back porch to the parking pad. We plan to enter the house from the back almost all the time since it's closer to the parking pad and has fewer steps and is closer to the kitchen. The largish area beyond the steps will initially be home to our grill but eventually will be where the hot tub goes. You can see the wiring box already on the back of the house there.

There's the parking pad and the entire rear of the house. The pad should be able to fit 3 cars pretty easily. There will be a fence to the right here which will form the dog yard and a gate to get in to the back yard.

The front of the house, and the small 'ramps' to get into the garages. We were imaging there'd be more of a slope to them, but as long as the level of the ground comes up to the cement when they're done it'll be fine.

And a walkway from the front garage to the front steps. We mostly put this in here to prevent erosion and to give us a nice garden spot in the front. Since there's a direct door from the garage into the house, it's unlikely we'll walk this path often.

One more step towards being done! Today we hope to see the grader to backfill and make the yard slope nice, instead of the cliff we have currently.
